Saint Augustine's RC Church, Leeds
This page explains the steps that we, as a parish within the diocese of Leeds, are taking to create and maintain a safe environment for the wellbeing of every parishioner. You will also find links to the diocese's commitment to safeguarding on the diocese's website. In brief:
The Church and all individual members undertake all appropriate steps to:
- maintain a safe environment for all.
- to practise fully and positively Christ’s Ministry towards children, young people and adults.
- to respond sensitively and compassionately to their needs to help keep them safe from harm.
We fundamentally believe that the safety of our parish is the responsibility of everyone who is involved in the parish. We would therefore encourage you to read this short document that has been produced by the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA)
